Tech Porn–Posters

I touched on this briefly the other day, but needed to expand on it.  Various coworkers and peers have helped me find some of the better vendor posters.  Having one of them be my Team Lead, and give me permission to use the plotters at work, has certainly helped this be far more useful.

VMware vSphere v5.1:

The nicest part about this link, is the new URL that VMware has created to centralize this repository:  http://www.vmware.com/go/posters – what more could we ask for.   Here you will find:

VMware ESXi 5.1 Reference Poster

VMware Management with PowerCLI 5.1 Poster

VMware vCloud Networking Poster

VMware Hands-On Labs 2012 Poster

Always trust the source more than me, and if you get a chance, thank Alan Renouf for getting these all in one place.

Microsoft Windows 2012:

Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V Component Architecture Poster and Companion References

In the past, Microsoft had some great Windows 2008 R2 versions, such as for AD, RDS, and the like.  I really hope they get the 2012 versions released soon.  For those who need the 2008 R2 versions:

Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V Component Architecture (with Service Pack 1)

Windows Server 2008 R2 Feature Components Poster

Windows Server 2008 Feature & Active Directory Component Posters

Remote Desktop Services Component Architecture Poster

Exchange Server 2010 Architecture Poster

Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Protocol Workloads Poster

TechNet Magazine Active Directory Component Jigsaw Poster

And then some other posters I found that might be useful:

Windows 7 Deployment Poster – created by a fellow who clearly does some Windows 7 deployments, and an excellent resource.

If anyone has a printable copy of the NetApp 2012 Hardware Universe, I’d really like one please!

As I find more, especially as they hopefully update the Windows 2012 Components, I’ll update this list.
